Job summary

Arlington Heights Park District's Expressions Performing Arts Academy is seeking talented Dance Instructors with Saturday morning availability for our 2026-2027 season. Candidates should have a strong dance background, and experience working with children. A Bachelor's in Dance is preferred, but comparable experience is accepted.

Classes are our Ballet & Tap combination classes for 3-6 year olds. Come join our fun studio with lots of subbing opportunities!

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Dance preferred, but comparable experience accepted.
• Minimum three to five years of experience in dance performance and instruction preferred.
• Or any equivalent education/experience/training.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach dance lessons and activities based on program goals and provided curriculum.
• Select music, materials, equipment, and costumes within budget for classes and recitals.
• Support recital planning and preparation alongside the Cultural Arts Supervisor.
• Encourage creativity and enthusiasm for dance among students.
• Maintain communication with parents about student progress and behavior.
• Welcome participants, take attendance, and contribute to program guide content.
