Job summary

Schaumburg Park District is seeking an acro dance instructor to teach ballet and acro to dancers aged 4-13, following our curriculum and safety policies. Classes range by age and size, with emphasis on recital choreography and performance preparation.

The role requires prior teaching experience, a bachelor’s degree and/or teaching certificate, and strong communication. Part-time hours are Thursday evenings, 4:15–7:00 pm, with pay ranging $16–$20/hour, DOE.

Qualifications

• Prior teaching experience in dance is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or teaching certificate is desirable.
• Knowledge of safety and spotting techniques to prevent injuries.

Responsibilities

• Teach multiple skill levels for dancers aged 4–13.
• Follow curriculum and prepare students for annual recital.
• Coordinate rescheduling/makeup classes as needed.
