Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a team member for bakery duties at our Hanover store. You will review the shift plan, prepare ingredients, bake goods, and ensure fresh products are displayed and labeled.

Safety, attendance, and the ability to learn to operate bakery equipment are emphasized. Prior experience is not required, but up to 1 year of work or technical training is preferred; 4-hour shifts are available and you’ll join a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have valid identification.
• Must read, write, and communicate to perform job duties and comply with policies.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements for this position.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must perform all job functions safely and meet performance standards including attendance.
• 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at the start of the shift, check equipment and supplies, and comply with PPE requirements.
• Assemble and mix ingredients, place on trays, bake goods.
• Package and label baked goods, print labels, and refresh display cases with fresh items.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, display cases, floors and counters.
• Track and record loss.
