This is a part time position. Primary responsibility is to Take Excellent Care Of Our Customers by satisfying each customer's needs, exceeding their expectations, and making every shopping visit a pleasant and satisfying experience. This requires following correct bagging procedures, providing carryout and parcel pickup service, loading merchandise into customer vehicles, and returning shopping carts into the store.

• Personal skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training; work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Language skills: Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English; write simple correspondence in English; effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and associates who only speak English.
• Mathematical skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
• Reasoning ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed or simple written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Certificates, licenses, registrations: Complete Company's training including but not limited to: new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, bagger technical skills, and product knowledge.
• Physical demands: Regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and smell. May be required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and reach from 6 to 72 inches. Specific vision abilities include close vision and depth perception. Compensation

• Pay Transparency: Harris Teeter reasonably expects to pay between $17.90/hour and $18.75/hour for this role as a newly hired associate. Pay may depend on previous experience and skill sets of the applicant.
