Midland College in Fort Stockton, TX seeks a part-time Faculty- Adjunct Automotive to teach courses in the Automotive Technology Program, including the college and high school dual credit program. The role emphasizes safety with lab equipment and delivering up-to-date automotive content.

You will develop daily lesson plans, engage with local industry partners, maintain student records, and participate in recruiting and counseling activities.

Formación

• Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent college coursework and industry certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic computer applications and specialized lab equipment.
• Computer literate with experience working with Microsoft Office.
• Communication, organization, and public speaking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral.
• Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s license, good driving record, and be insurable on Midland College’s insurance policy.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and teach courses offered in the Automotive Technology Program in both the college and high school dual credit program.
• Demonstrate safe and effective use of all lab equipment.
• Prepare and communicate clear educational objectives while presenting current and accurate course content to the students.
• Work with representatives of local industry to further the program and enhance instructional resources.
• Attend advisory committee meetings.
• Maintain and secure student records.
• Participate in recruiting and counseling activities.
• Fulfill faculty roles and responsibilities as outlined in Midland College Policy and Administrative Regulations published in the Faculty and Employee Handbooks.
• Other duties as assigned
