HearingLife is seeking a Part-Time Audiologist in Layton, Utah to diagnose and treat hearing loss while ensuring a superior patient experience. You will perform hearing tests, fitting of hearing aids, and patient education, while growing your patient base and achieving clinic financial targets.

The role offers competitive pay at $50/hour plus a 6% commission, with a schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and a comprehensive benefits outlook as part of a national network.

Qualifications

• Active license in accordance with state requirements.
• 2+ years Hearing Aid sales experience or 2 years equivalent in industry training under a licensed HIS or AuD.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical audiology services and aftercare for hearing tests and fitting devices.
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs on hearing devices and earmolds.
• Contribute to practice growth through sales and achievement of financial KPIs.
• Engage in local community outreach and physician relationship development.
• Counsel patients on hearing aid purchases and educate on device use and payment options.
• Support Telehealth initiatives to expand patient access to care.

Responsibilities

You will help more people hear better by providing clinical expertise to diagnose and treat hearing loss while ensuring a positive patient experience. You will act in accordance with the required industry and state professional licensing standards. In addition to exceptional patient care you are responsible for growing your patient population and meeting practice financial goals.

• Provide quality care and aftercare of dispensing services such as hearing tests, hearing aid fittings, educate and train hearing aid users of best practices.
• Perform checks on hearing aids and other amplification devices. This includes but is not limited to troubleshooting, conducting repairs to hearing aids, earmolds and cleaning of hearing aids.
• Achieve practice growth with a strong mindset on sales and key business metrics while maintaining ethical practice standards.
• Local community outreach including health fairs and developing physician relationships. You represent HearingLife as an advocate to making a life changing difference.
• Counsel patients on the purchase of their hearing aids, devices, and accessories. Maintain a current understanding of third-party payors and various payment methods in accordance with federal and state laws.
• Understand and meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly clinical finance targets working closely with your PCC and Manager to achieve clinics financial KPIs.
• Support Telehealth initiatives (Remote Care) to expand patient care and product portfolio including but not limited conducting hearing tests, coach and educate patients on hearing aid devices.
• Maintain continuing education requirements based on state requirements.
• Ability to operate audiometric equipment and to interpret the results.
• Ability to communicate test results and interpret and propose treatment in a manner easily understood by patients. Communication is key!
• All other duties as assigned
