Job summary

RB Global is seeking a Part-Time yard crew member in Salt Lake City to support auction operations across check-in, staging, tagging, and equipment release. You will safely operate equipment and assist customers on auction day, contributing to a positive customer experience, site efficiency, and strict safety standards.

Work involves outdoor duties, varied weather, and occasional evenings or weekends during auction periods.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license; requirements may vary by location/role.
• Strong focus on safety, detail orientation, and following procedures.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate light/heavy equipment with training provided.
• Customer service skills with a professional, approachable demeanor.
• Willingness to perform physical labor and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends during auction periods.
• Experience in yard operations, equipment handling, or auction environments.
• Knowledge of farming, construction, or industrial equipment.
• Certification in First Aid, Loader Operation, or other relevant safety training.
• Experience in customer-facing roles (hospitality, retail, service).

Responsibilities

• Support auction yard operations by checking in, staging, tagging, and releasing equipment.
• Safely operate light and heavy equipment, following company standards and certifications.
• Assist customers on-site and provide sale-day support such as shuttle driving, cart driving, or customer service.
• Maintain site cleanliness, perform janitorial and groundskeeping tasks, and operate support vehicles like water trucks.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance at all times while reporting hazards promptly.
• Work collaboratively with yard management, operations staff, and the inspection team to deliver seamless auction events.
• Contribute ideas for continuous improvement while upholding company values and delivering excellent customer experiences.
