Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active license to practice law, OR
Substantial equivalent experience in the legal field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Knowledge of municipal/county government operations preferred but not required
Provide legal counsel and support to Mills County departments and officials
Review and draft contracts, ordinances, resolutions, and other legal documents
Research legal issues and provide guidance on county matters
Assist with compliance and risk management issues
Other duties as assigned
Pay will be commensurate with experience.
This is a temporary position that will remain in place until a full-time attorney is hired by the County.
