Sam Houston State University is hiring up to 5 part-time Lecturer-Pool Faculty of Athletic Training positions for 2026. Candidates will teach undergraduate/graduate courses based on their background and departmental needs.

Preferred expertise includes Orthopedics, Rehabilitation, and Emergency Care. A Master's degree in Athletic Training or a related field is required, along with current state licensure and national certification.

Travel to various SHSU campuses is required. Office hours during the academic term are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure required for teaching.
• Experience teaching in a CAATE accredited program preferred.
• EMT Instructor Certification and/or EMT Advanced Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate Athletic Training courses.
• Departmental needs drive faculty contracts, renewed based on performance.
• Travel to SHSU Campuses in Huntsville, TX, Conroe, TX, and/or The Woodlands, TX required.
