Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a Part-Time Athletic Trainer to provide on-site injury assessment, treatment and rehab for student athletes and teams at local schools and events. You will work under physician direction, with weekend on-call coverage to support athletic programs.

The role requires an active Athletic Trainer license, BLS, and at least a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred). Continuing education and community health contributions are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents as directed by physician for athletes according to state licensure act.
• Independently assesses patients/athletes to determine appropriate athletic injury care or referral to physician for evaluation.
• Provides rehabilitation and athletic injury coverage for area schools.
• In clinical setting, delivers treatment under direction of evaluating therapist to meet stated goals.
• May range from middle school to college events.
