Job summary

Red Bull New York Academy Morristown, NJ, is seeking a part-time athletic training assistant to support athletic trainers and physical therapists in the delivery of treatment and rehab for academy players. You will help with injury screening, on-field coverage during training and matches, and assist in developing rehabilitation plans and return-to-play protocols.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's in Athletic Training, NATABOC certification, strong communication, and the ability to lift up

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Athletic Training.
NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
Strong communication skills.
Experience with evaluation and treatment of lower extremity injury.
Flexible schedule for both weekday and weekend coverage.
The ability to regularly lift up to 75lbs.

Responsibilities

Provide on-field medical coverage during Academy training sessions and matches as assigned.
Assist with the assessment of new injuries on the field of play and in the treatment room.
Initiate communication chain of initial findings to athletic trainers and physical therapists, and, when appropriate, communicate findings to coaching staff, fitness staff, and team physician.
Assist in the creation and execution of short‑, medium‑, and long‑term rehabilitation plans for players as assigned.
Assist in the development and delivery of individualized injury reduction measures within the RB2 setting.
Assist in the creation and execution of end‑stage rehab testing and assist performance staff with execution of return‑to‑play programming when appropriate.
