Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care, Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation, is seeking a part time hourly Athletic Trainer to support outreach locations within the community, primarily covering special events contracted to UIHC Sports Medicine. This role collaborates in a multi-disciplinary team and provides direct patient contact for evaluation and treatment of orthopedic and medical conditions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of athletic trainer experience.
• Knowledge of orthopedics and sports medicine.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• CPR certification.
• BOC Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services at outreach locations and events.
• Assist other providers in patient care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Prevent, diagnose, and treat orthopedic pathology and medical conditions.
