Job summary

Eurofins USA Genomic Services is seeking an SST Associate Scientist I to assist laboratory personnel and ensure high-quality data in a fast-paced genomic testing setting. The role includes performing analyses, documenting results, and supporting lab operations.

The position offers a part-time shift (Mon-Fri, 8am–4:30pm) with opportunities to contribute to process improvements, maintain equipment, and ensure accurate sample flow. A HS degree and science aptitude are recommended.

Qualifications

• HS degree recommended with an aptitude for science.
• Certification by the Society of Commercial Seed Technologists is recommended.
• Within a commutable distance of the worksite location.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Assist SST Laboratory personnel in general lab duties and ensure quality data.
• Communicate effectively internally and externally.
• Propose and communicate process improvements for technical area.
• Perform sample analysis and document results.
• Maintain inventory and organize supplies.
• Be able to guide newer staff.
• Follow work instructions and safety rules.
• Ensure consistent and repeatable results in a timely fashion.
