The Opportunity

The Part-Time Associate is essential to our success! Stores rely on Part-Time Associates to provide excellent customer service, keep shelves stocked with fresh food, and create a great shopping experience.

What You'll Do

• Maintain assigned store sections, order, receive, and stock merchandise using proper equipment, ensure correct pricing, check product date codes for proper rotation, stock shelves, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases. May prepare perishable products for sale.
• Set up promotional displays. Review invoices/bills for accuracy.
• Maintain sanitation standards in all areas of the store and parking lot.
• Operate a cash register, handle payments, give change, and process transactions. Handle refunds with management approval.
• Verify customer eligibility when selling alcohol.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous assistance to customers with current store and product information.
• Assist customers with loading purchases into vehicles when requested.
• Record lost/damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools.

What You'll Bring

• Ability to read and write English, interact effectively with the public and co-workers.
• Ability to understand simple instructions, product labels, pricing, shelf tags, and memos.
• Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions.
• Apply common sense to follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, 45 pounds frequently, and 60 pounds occasionally.
