The Opportunity

The Part-Time Associate is the key to our success!

Stores rely on Part-Time Associates to provide excellent customer service, keep the shelves stocked with fresh food, and create a great shopping experience for our customers.

What You'll Do

• Maintain assigned store sections, order, receive, and stock merchandise using proper equipment, ensure correct pricing, check product date codes for proper rotation, stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases. May prepare perishable products for sale.
• Set up advertising/promotional displays and review invoices/bills for accuracy.
• Maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of the store and parking lot as directed by management.
• Operate a cash register, process payments, make change, and handle check/charge/debit transactions. Process refunds when approved by management.
• Verify customer eligibility when selling alcoholic beverages.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous assistance to customers with current store and product information.
• Assist customers with loading purchases into vehicles when requested.
• Record lost/damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools.

What You'll Bring

• Ability to read and write English, interact with the public and co-workers.
• Ability to understand simple instructions, labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and memos.
• Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions.
• Apply common sense to follow detailed but straightforward instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Extra Plus If You Have...

• Basic PC and Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.
