The Opportunity

The Part-Time Associate is key to our success! Stores rely on Part-Time Associates to provide excellent customer service, keep shelves stocked with fresh food, and create a great shopping experience for our customers.

What You'll Do

• Maintain assigned store sections, order, receive, and stock merchandise using proper equipment, ensure proper pricing, check product date codes for rotation, and stock shelves, displays, and refrigerated cases. May prepare perishable products for sale.
• Set up advertising and promotional displays. Review invoices for accuracy.
• Maintain sanitation standards in all store areas and parking lot as directed.
• Operate a cash register, handle payments, give change, and process transactions. Handle refunds as approved.
• Verify customer eligibility for alcohol sales.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous assistance to customers with current store and product information.
• Assist customers with loading purchases into vehicles when requested.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties, record lost/damaged goods and store supplies.

What You'll Bring

• Ability to read and write English, interact with the public and coworkers.
• Understand simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and memos.
• Present information effectively to individuals and small groups.
• Apply common sense to follow detailed instructions.
• Lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 45 pounds frequently, and up to 60 pounds occasionally.
