Responsible for assisting in managing a competitive NCAA Division I Women's Soccer program, including conditioning, practices, recruiting, travel arrangements, and student managers. A key role is supporting the development of student-athletes as individuals, students, soccer players, and community members.
Essential Functions:
- Program Execution (55%): Conduct team and individual practices, coach athletes, evaluate performance, and monitor conditioning and training.
- Recruiting (10%): Arrange and conduct recruiting activities, including campus visits, evaluations, and contacting prospective athletes.
- Equipment Management (10%): Ensure availability and condition of athletic gear, coordinate repairs or replacements, and work with apparel vendors.
- Administrative Tasks (25%): Maintain statistics, attend coaching meetings, and implement strategies from these meetings.
- Travel Responsibilities (Full Travel): Manage travel logistics for in-season and out-of-season activities.
- Game Management (95%): Assist with game setup, management, and breakdown as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
- Experience: Prior playing experience at college or club level, or as a collegiate athlete.
- Certifications: First Aid, CPR, AED required or willingness to obtain; coaching licenses recommended.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Uphold honesty and sportsmanship, representing high standards of fair play.
- Solid knowledge of NCAA regulations related to recruitment and retention.
- Handle confidential information appropriately.
- Understand safety procedures and all aspects of the soccer program.
- Recruit and retain student-athletes effectively.

- Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of students and community.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and recruiting skills.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, identifying problems and proposing solutions.
- Travel with the team and supervise student-athletes' conduct.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Frequent physical activities, extensive travel, exposure to athletic venues, long irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Availability during early mornings, evenings, and weekends is required.
