Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, NH is seeking a part-time Assistant Volleyball Coach to support the Head Volleyball Coach and our NCAA athletics program. The role is based on the main campus in Manchester, NH and requires flexibility to meet team needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead preseason and season practices and monitor conditioning.
• Evaluate athlete performance and opponents; support peak game performance.
• Assist in recruiting prospective student athletes.
• Plan events including fund-raising and other functions.
• Drive university vans to practices, games, playoffs, and meetings.
• Support Head Coach and Athletics leadership; adapt responsibilities as needed.
• Attend athletic department meetings and conference activities.

The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University's traditional campus is looking for a part-time Assistant Volleyball Coach. You will report to the Head Volleyball Coach. This position is located on the main campus in Manchester, NH.

What You'll Do

• Participate in the leading and execution of preseason and season practices. Help monitor conditioning programs
• Provide input as to the evaluation of the athlete's performance and progress. Evaluate opponents' performance and scouting. Ensure the peak performance of athletes during games
• Help recruit prospective student athletes
• Participate in planning for events including fund raising or other special functions
• Drive university vans to and from practice, games, playoffs, and coaches meetings
• Additional responsibilities can be assigned with discussion between the Head Coach, Director of Athletics and the Assistant Coach
• Attendance is required at the annual athletic awards banquet, any NE-10 conference meetings, any all-star balloting or voting meetings, and all SNHU Athletic Department meetings

You will be governed by the rules and regulations of the NCAA and Southern New Hampshire University, which requires working with the Head Coach in all facets of the program. You must develop a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. If you plan to recruit, you must pass the NCAA Certification exam.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to transport athletes

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $14.86 - $23.79. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $16.43 - $22.23.
