This role assists with the planning and implementation of training sessions, provides feedback and mentorship to student-athletes, and helps develop strategies for competition. Assistant Coaches may also be responsible for specific areas such as scouting, video analysis, strength and conditioning, or skill development for particular positions or groups. Additional responsibilities often include supporting the academic progress and personal development of student-athletes, coordinating team travel and logistics, assisting with fundraising and community service initiatives, and contributing to the overall culture and success of the program. The position requires strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, as well as a commitment to sportsmanship, inclusion, and the academic mission of the institution.
