Magdalen’s Preschool is accepting applications for a part-time assistant teacher for children aged 3-5. We seek a dependable, team-oriented person who loves working with diverse developmental levels and can build rapport with students and families. Qualifications

• Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
• Child Development Associate Credential (CDA).
• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or related fields.
• Positive and patient demeanor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lesson implementation and classroom preparation.
• Assist with student supervision and health/safety.
• Snack time, gym, and outside playground duties.
• Develop schedules and routines to support activity, rest, play, and growth.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents.
• Assist lead teacher with communication with parents on growth and progress.
• Create a fun and safe learning environment promoting growth.
• Complete annual State of Michigan licensing requirements for teachers.
