Job summary

Bright Horizons in Apex, NC is seeking a part-time Assistant Teacher to support infants, toddlers and preschoolers. You will assist with hands-on activities, maintain open communication with parents, and help keep the classroom safe and clean.

The role requires at least 18 years old with a HS diploma or GED, and background checks; a CDA/AA/BA in early education is preferred. In-person work with opportunities for college degree support through Horizons CDA & Degree Program.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings preferred.
• CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field preferred.
• Must pass required state and company background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of children.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following procedures and guidelines.
• Provide support in any classroom or age group where teaching coverage is needed across a center.
