Job description

What you get to do:

You’ll help lead and inspire a team to deliver great guest experiences from the get-go. You will oversee the policies and procedures, personnel, sales and merchandise, security and safety of all merchandise locations. You will also:

  1. Provide and lead team to deliver superior guest service
  2. Ensure excellent customer service by responding to customer requirements, expectations, and needs
  3. Regularly keep ambassadors motivated and energized
  4. Open and close facility in accordance with established procedures
  5. Follow up on daily operational needs and communicate all facility issues as appropriate
  6. Troubleshoot and repair lockers, photo equipment, photo booths, haystack dryers and other equipment
  7. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws including training ambassadors; planning, assigning and directing work; assessing performance; rewarding and disciplining ambassadors; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  8. Ensure meal and rest periods are provided to ambassadors as required by Company policy
  9. Successfully monitor labor management for operation (ex: sales goals, labor, line schedule targets, and progress updates to the team throughout the day)
  10. Monitor stock inventory for facility, to include damage and min/max, and elevate issues to Supervisor
  11. Monitor safety of ambassadors and merchandise facilities
  12. Sign off on customer refunds up to $50.00
  13. Maintain safety and integrity of assigned location; ensures ambassadors follow safety procedures in accordance with established safety guidelines and take appropriate action; ensures ambassadors have appropriate PPE for work location
  14. Other duties as assigned
  15. Occasionally assist other locations and areas in the park as needed

What it takes to succeed:

  1. At least 18 years of age
  2. High school diploma or equivalent
  3. Previous Assistant Supervisor experience at a theme park preferred
  4. Outgoing, able to provide great guest service and interact favorably with public
  5. Ability to self-motivate as well as motivate ambassadors
  6. Strong basic math and cash handling skills
  7. Basic knowledge of computers with ability to work with Windows-based software
  8. Basic knowledge of financial terms for revenue department
  9. Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions; ability to lift 50+ lbs. (preferred)
  10. Strong written/verbal communication skills
  11. Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  12. Able to stand, sit and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
