Role Overview: The Assistant Center Supervisor supports the organization and management of a Wellness Center dedicated to mental health recovery and community connection.
- Responsibilities: Supervises person-centered, recovery-based supports including social skills, advocacy, peer activities, and wellness workshops for adults with mental illness. Ensures culturally sensitive services, promotes trauma-informed practices, and fosters member engagement in program decisions. Connects members to community resources, develops and facilitates curriculum-based workshops, and maintains a positive, collaborative environment. Participates in outreach, tracks program data, and supports documentation and billing efforts, including Medi-Cal requirements. Leads group activities, provides orientations, and develops individualized care plans. Collaborates with staff and management to ensure quality services and adherence to policies.
- Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent; experience with psychiatric populations preferred. Lived experience as a consumer or family member of mental health services is required. Bilingual skills (Spanish) and peer certification preferred. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team. Capable of handling intense situations with good judgment, maintaining professionalism, and promoting diversity and cultural responsiveness. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass background and health screenings are necessary.
Key Duties: Supervision of staff and volunteers, delivering supportive services, facilitating group and individual sessions, maintaining documentation, and participating in community outreach. Ensures safety protocols, promotes recovery and empowerment, and supports members' growth towards independence.
