Job summary

Dollar Tree in Irmo, SC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and maintain store fixtures and merchandising.

The role involves supervising and training store associates, handling opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and meet physical demands (walking, standing, etc.).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions/concerns.
• Help organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
