Job summary

Dollar Tree in Kuna, Idaho, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, and organize merchandise from the delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor as needed.

You will perform opening/closing procedures, follow corporate directives, maintain promotional displays, and assist in payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and ensure policy adherence.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and team members.
• Ensure store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms and floors; general housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned.
