Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Little Rock, AR is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop a high-performing team. You will assist with merchandising, staffing, opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and maintaining a safe, welcoming sales floor.

This role requires strong communication, reliability, and a hands-on approach in a fast-paced retail environment. Prior retail leadership experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 55 lbs and standing for long periods.
• Must work well in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and handling payroll/scheduling/cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked and organized store with clean floors and stockrooms.
• Protect assets including store cash and ensure policy compliance.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
