At Hot Topic, we’re passionate about music, pop culture, and creating an exceptional in-store experience for our customers and employees.

We’re seeking a Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 2 to lead the store in the mall. You’ll support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets, recruiting, and developing the team. You’re adaptable, sales-driven, and able to build strong customer relationships.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Assist your Store Manager in meeting sales goals and metrics.
• Help recruit, develop, and retain a passionate, collaborative team.
• Create store buzz and customer engagement through promotion of new products, social media, and services like BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Ensure operational excellence by balancing sales, customer service, and operational tasks.
• Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll, and scheduling.
• Communicate with retail leadership and HQ about trends and customer feedback.
• Analyze sales reports to inform strategy.
• Merchandise the store effectively, launching promotions on time.
• Partner with your Store Manager to develop a high-performing, customer-focused team.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• 1-2 years of retail store management experience, preferably with an interest in music and pop culture.
• Proven success in leading teams, with skills in communication, recruiting, operations, and team development.
• Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, and operational tasks.
• A high school diploma or GED; degrees are a plus.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-changing retail environment.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.
