Job description

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll support the store leadership team in providing excellent customer service, ensuring fans can find their favorite merchandise. Your fandom knowledge will help train new recruits and support daily operations and sales goals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty, leveraging your product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Support store operations by stepping in on the sales floor and assisting the management team when needed.
• Open and close the store as required, handling store keys responsibly.
• Operate the register, process transactions, and promote add-on sales through benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Close out registers and communicate shortages or overages to the Store Manager.
• Understand and contribute to sales plans, KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram updates, store layouts, and merchandising.
• Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ partners.
• Work with Store Management to prevent theft and misuse of store assets.
• Help maintain an organized stock room and a tidy store environment.
• Contribute to building a passionate, collaborative team environment.
• Perform any additional activities assigned by your Store Leader.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• At least 1 year of retail experience; passion for music and pop culture is a plus.

Pay range: $11.55 - $13.30 per hour. Final salary will depend on education, location, experience, and other factors.
