Job description

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can get their hands on the merchandise they love. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to assist in training new recruits and support daily operations to meet sales targets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty, using your product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Step in and support store operations when needed, including covering the sales floor and assisting the management team.
• Assist with opening and closing the store as required.
• Operate the register, process sales transactions, and utilize your fandom knowledge to promote add-on sales, including BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Understand store sales plans, goals, and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
• Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
• Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
• Support store maintenance by organizing the stockroom and keeping the store tidy.
• Help develop a collaborative and passionate team to run the store effectively.
• Perform any other activities assigned by your Store Leader.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• At least 1 year of retail experience, with a passion for music and pop culture.
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and operational skills, with a drive to develop your team.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• The ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
