Job description

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an excellent customer experience, ensuring fans can find their favorite merchandise. Your fandom knowledge will be valuable in training new team members and supporting daily operations and sales goals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages repeat visits, leveraging your product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Assist and support the store management team, stepping in on the sales floor when needed.
• Open and close the store as scheduled, managing store keys responsibly.
• Operate the register, process sales, and promote add-on sales through benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Communicate any register shortages or issues to the Store Manager.
• Understand sales goals, KPIs such as UPT and ADT, and contribute to meeting these targets.
• Assist with store layout changes, including planograms and merchandising.
• Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ partners.
• Work with store management to prevent theft and ensure security.
• Help maintain organized stock rooms and a tidy store environment.
• Contribute to building a passionate, collaborative team to run the store effectively.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by your Store Leader.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• At least 1 year of retail experience, with a love for music and pop culture.
• Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, and operations, with a drive to develop your team.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Hourly pay ranges from $17.75 to $20.40. Final salary depends on education, location, experience, and other factors.
