We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a significant part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can access the merchandise they love. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and support daily operations and sales targets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty, showcasing your product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Step up as needed, covering the sales floor and providing leadership support in the absence of the Manager.
- Open and close the store as required, managing store keys responsibly.
- Operate the register, process sales, and utilize your fandom knowledge to promote add-on sales and benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Also, handle register closeouts and communicate shortages or overages to your Store Manager.
- Understand store sales plans, goals, and KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
- Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
- Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ partners.
- Ensure the security of store assets by working with management to prevent theft and misuse.
- Maintain organized stockrooms and a tidy store environment.
- Contribute to developing a passionate, collaborative team to run the store effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail experience; a love for music and pop culture is a plus!
- Strong communication, time management, professionalism, operational skills, and a desire to develop your team members.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
