Job description

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll support the store leadership team in providing excellent customer service, ensuring fans find their favorite merch. You’ll use your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and assist in daily operations and sales targets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through product knowledge and excellent service.
• Assist in covering the sales floor and support leadership when needed.
• Open and close the store as required, handling cash register operations and sales transactions.
• Drive sales through upselling and knowledge of store benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Understand sales goals and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram updates and merchandising setups.
• Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ.
• Work with store management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
• Maintain organized stockrooms and store cleanliness.
• Contribute to building a passionate, collaborative team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your Store Leader.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• At least 1 year of retail experience, with a passion for music and pop culture.
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and leadership skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.
