We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a significant part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an excellent customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can access the merchandise they love. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and support daily operations and sales targets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through product knowledge and excellent service.
- Step in and support store operations when needed, including covering the sales floor and assisting leadership.
- Open and close the store as required, taking responsibility for store keys and security.
- Operate the register, process transactions, and use your fandom expertise to promote additional sales through benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Also, handle register closing duties and communicate shortages or overages to your Store Manager.
- Understand and contribute to store sales plans, goals, and key performance indicators such as UPT and ADT.
- Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
- Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
- Support store maintenance by keeping the stock room organized and the store tidy.
- Contribute to building a collaborative and passionate team to run the store effectively.
- Perform any other activities as assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail experience, preferably with a passion for music and pop culture.
- Strong communication, time management, professionalism, operational skills, and a drive to develop your team.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- The ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using approved equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
