Job description

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring fans can access the merchandise they love. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and support daily operations and sales goals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through product knowledge and excellent service.
• Step in and lead when needed, covering the sales floor and supporting the management team.
• Open and close the store as required, ensuring smooth operations.
• Process sales transactions at the register, promote add-on sales, and support benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Understand store sales plans, KPIs such as UPT and ADT, and contribute to achieving sales targets.
• Assist with planogram updates, store layout, and merchandising.
• Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
• Ensure store security by preventing theft and misuse of spells and wizardry.
• Support store maintenance, including stockroom organization and store cleanliness.
• Help develop a passionate, collaborative team to run the store effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your Store Leader.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• At least 1 year of retail experience, with a passion for music and pop culture.
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and leadership skills.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• The ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay rate: $17 - $19.55 per hour. Final salary depends on education, experience, location, and other factors.
