Qualifications

• 3–5 years in academic medicine or higher education, research administration, or related environment.
• Experience advising, mentoring, or supporting students in academic/research development.
• Experience coordinating educational programs and workshops.
• Knowledge of research methods, dissemination, and the research process.
• Familiarity with IRB processes and compliance requirements.
• Experience collecting and reporting program data for decision making.
• Ability to build relationships with faculty, students, and admins.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and data management systems.
• PhD/MD/DO or equivalent required in a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Advise and mentor medical students on scholarly interests and career paths.
• Facilitate student participation in research by identifying opportunities and mentors.
• Ensure compliance with IRB, institutional, and federal policies.
• Collaborate with student organizations to expand engagement in research.
• Develop educational programming: journal clubs, workshops, seminars, and pro dev sessions.
• Lead OSR initiatives: pipelines, concentrations, micro credentials, events, and portfolios.
• Collect and analyze data on student participation and outcomes for quality improvement.
• Design assessments to measure OSR impact and gather stakeholder feedback.
• Develop faculty development programs to strengthen mentorship capacity.
• Maintain a database of faculty expertise and research projects for matching.
