JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Law (http://pennstatelaw.psu.edu/) in University Park is seeking a part-time Assistant Director of Employer Engagement.
The Assistant Director of Employer Engagement will develop and execute outreach strategies to build relationships in emerging legal markets, resulting in new career opportunities for students and alumni. Responsibilities include engaging with employers nationwide, conducting recruitment initiatives, and organizing programs such as employer roundtables, information sessions, panels, networking events, and etiquette events.
This role involves coordinating employer engagement initiatives, facilitating in-person and virtual opportunities for connecting students and alumni with employers, and occasionally counseling students. The position reports directly to the Assistant Dean for Career Services.
This is a part-time (20 hours/week), remote or hybrid position.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree or higher plus three years of related experience; a Juris Doctor degree is preferred. Experience as an attorney or in legal recruitment, along with a strong network of legal professionals, is essential. The candidate should be self-motivated, professional, organized, flexible, and possess excellent communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
