Job summary

Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, seeks a part-time assistant baseball coach in the PEAR department to support a competitive NCAA Division III program. Some evening and weekend hours are required; athletic appointments are renewed annually.

Compensation: $2,500-$5,400 per month. Primary duties include assisting in training planning, travel, practices, and recruitment, plus student-athlete development and equipment management.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree
• 1-2 years coaching or playing at the collegiate level
• Commitment to student-athlete development and collegiate athletics
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and preparation of team training, travel, coaching practices, recruiting, and student-athlete development.
• Share in recruitment and identify, attract, matriculate and retain outstanding student-athletes to the college.
• Support coaching staff with team meetings and duties related to the program such as equipment organization/distribution, meal orders, social media, etc.
• Attend meetings related to coaching and work with the head coach and other staff.
• Complete required departmental and institutional training and participate in professional development opportunities.
