Job summary

A consulting services firm is seeking a part-time American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter for the Letterkenny Army Depot. The role involves providing ASL interpretation services to support hard of hearing and/or deaf employees. Candidates should have significant experience and certification as an interpreter. The position requires excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. This is a non-exempt position with no travel required.

Qualifications

• Must have consecutive employment with comparable responsibilities within the past five years.
• Experience in interpreting for US Government is highly preferred.
• Willingness to learn Army terminology and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide ASL interpretation services on an as-needed basis.
• Translate spoken and written English to hard of hearing and/or deaf employees.
• Maintain high standards of interpretation accuracy.
