Job summary

ProCare Therapy in Washington state is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter for a part-time contract position in a welcoming preschool environment. The role offers 3 hours of work per day, starting on 9/21, with a focus on facilitating communication and inclusivity for young learners.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with experience interpreting in educational settings.
• Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter or relevant equivalent.
• Previous background working with preschool-aged children is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ASL interpreting services to support preschool students in classroom activities, small groups, and individual interactions.
• Facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, and peers.
• Assist in fostering an inclusive classroom environment where all students can engage and thrive.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards within the school community.
• Participate in team meetings or discussions relevant to student progress and interpreter services as needed.
