Job summary

St. Pius X Catholic School in Mountlake Terrace, WA, invites applications for an innovative art teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The position is approximately 20 hours per week (.5 FTE) with potential to expand to full-time based on experience.

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in Art (preferably with education) and will collaborate with staff to deliver engaging art instruction to preschool through 8th grade. Catholics encouraged to apply.

• Bachelor's degree in Art; teaching certificate preferred.
• Candidates should be practicing Catholics who are committed to sharing our Catholic faith.
• Part-time at approximately 20 hours/week with potential to expand to full-time.

Responsibilities

• Teach art to students in preschool through 8th grade.
• Collaborate with principal and staff to implement the art curriculum.
• Maintain accurate student records and communicate progress to students and parents.
• Create and maintain a safe, conducive classroom environment.
