Job summary

Lone Star College invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach Art courses across multiple campuses and times. Instructors develop engaging lessons aligned with course objectives and institutional guidelines, meeting with students before or after class and advising as needed.

Responsibilities include evaluating student progress, submitting reports on time, and maintaining professional relationships with the college community.

Qualifications

• MA or MFA in art, studio art, or art history OR a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in art, studio art, or art history.
• Experience teaching art courses and developing curriculum is preferred.
• Ability to teach a range of art courses at multiple times and locations.

Responsibilities

• Teach Art courses at various times and locations.
• Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement.
• Submit college reports in a timely manner.
• Follow course syllabi and institutional guidelines.
• Meet with and advise students outside class when needed.
• Evaluate student progress and communicate results promptly.
• Maintain professional relationships with students and colleagues.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required.
