Part‑Time Instructor of Art

Penn State Brandywine, located in Media, PA, seeks a Part‑Time Instructor of Art for the 2025‑2026 Academic Year to teach art appreciation and/or art of drawing for non‑majors courses. Both courses are general‑education and meet twice per week.

Courses

• ART 10 – Introduction to Visual Studies: an introductory art appreciation course for students without any artistic background, covering art movements, cultural influences, artistic genres, artists, and their work.
• ART 20 – Introduction to Drawing: a survey of the art of drawing for non‑majors, emphasizing hands‑on studio activities, visual literacy, and conventional drawing techniques and materials.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the studio‑art liaison regarding curriculum and studio operational needs.

Requirements and Qualifications

• MFA required; university‑level teaching experience preferred.
