Job summary

Liberty Defense Group LLC is seeking an Armed Security Specialist in Arkansas to maintain a safe environment for clients, staff, and visitors. You will patrol, deter threats, respond to incidents, and document actions clearly using digital tools.

The role requires firearm handling per regulations, long shifts, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. We offer licensing sponsorship, equipment, and benefits as part of the employment package.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• CSO certification or ability to attain.
• Firearm, Holster & Mag Pouch – Level 2 or above.
• Prior experience in law enforcement, the military or security preferred.
• Must be legally eligible to carry a firearm.
• Completion of all state and/or municipal mandated firearms training.
• Must pass a federal background check & drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide security coverage through foot patrols, posts, and surveillance.
• Deter crime and ensure safety of people and property.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents per policy and training.
• Use defensive techniques as required and per policy.
• Carry and operate a firearm in compliance with laws and training.
• Maintain alertness during long or overnight shifts.
• Make sound decisions in high-stress situations.
• Observe and report suspicious activity with vigilance.
• Operate radios, CCTV, and other security equipment.
• Prepare clear reports using computer or mobile device.
• Maintain professional appearance and environment.
• Wear body armor as needed.

Position Overview

The Armed Security Specialist is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong situational awareness, sound judgment under pressure, and the ability to respond effectively to routine and emergency situations while complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Provide continuous security coverage through foot patrols, stationary posts, and surveillance monitoring during assigned shifts
• Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure safety of people and property
• Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies, alarms, and incidents, including running short distances when necessary
• Perform defensive or restraint techniques when required and in accordance with training and policy
• Safely carry, draw, and operate a firearm in compliance with all legal and training requirements
• Maintain alertness and responsiveness throughout long or overnight shifts
• Make sound decisions in high-stress, physically and mentally demanding situations
• Observe, assess, and report suspicious activity using strong situational awareness and peripheral vision
• Operate security equipment including radios, flashlights, surveillance systems, and CCTV
• Prepare clear, accurate, and legible written reports using a computer or mobile device
• Maintain a clean, professional work environment and appearance
• Wear required body armor or protective equipment for extended periods as needed

Physical & Sensory Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Ability to sit for extended periods when assigned to stationary posts
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds

Schedule

• Thursday - 10am - 6pm
• Saturday & Sunday - 5am - 5pm or 5pm - 5am

• Firearm, Holster & Mag Pouch - Level 2 or above
• Prior experience in law enforcement, the military or security preferred
• Must be legally eligible to carry a firearm

• Ability to remain calm, professional, and composed in stressful or emergency situations

What We Offer

• Compensation: $15.50/hr
• Armed Licensing Sponsorship Program: Liberty Defense Group will cover the upfront cost of your required CSO license, with repayment made through convenient payroll deductions once you begin employment.
