Job summary

Liberty Defense Group is seeking an Armed Security Specialist to safeguard clients, employees, and visitors on 12‑hour shifts (6pm–6am) in a security role requiring vigilance and professional conduct. The ideal candidate will have an Armed Guard Card, pass background checks, and carry firearms per regulations.

The role includes patrols, rapid response to incidents, and clean reporting. LDG offers licensing sponsorship, wage access, holiday pay, and comprehensive insurance options to support

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Armed Guard Card & Agent ID or ability to attain.
• Pass federal background check & a drug screen.
• Legally eligible to carry a firearm.
• Completion of all state and/or municipal mandated firearms training.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous security coverage through patrols, posts, and surveillance.
• Maintain visible presence to deter crime and protect people and property.
• Respond to emergencies, alarms, and incidents promptly and safely.
• Perform defensive or restraint techniques as trained and permitted.
• Safely carry, draw, and operate a firearm in accordance with laws and training.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports using computer or mobile device.
• Operate security equipment including radios, flashlights, CCTV, and surveillance systems.

Position Overview

The Armed Security Specialist is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong situational awareness, sound judgment under pressure, and the ability to respond effectively to routine and emergency situations while complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Provide continuous security coverage through foot patrols, stationary posts, and surveillance monitoring during assigned shifts
• Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure safety of people and property
• Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies, alarms, and incidents, including running short distances when necessary
• Perform defensive or restraint techniques when required and in accordance with training and policy
• Safely carry, draw, and operate a firearm in compliance with all legal and training requirements
• Maintain alertness and responsiveness throughout long or overnight shifts
• Make sound decisions in high-stress, physically and mentally demanding situations
• Observe, assess, and report suspicious activity using strong situational awareness and peripheral vision
• Operate security equipment including radios, flashlights, surveillance systems, and CCTV
• Prepare clear, accurate, and legible written reports using a computer or mobile device
• Maintain a clean, professional work environment and appearance
• Wear required body armor or protective equipment for extended periods as needed

Physical & Sensory Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Ability to sit for extended periods when assigned to stationary posts
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds

Schedule

• 12 hr shifts - 6pm - 6am

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age
• Armed Guard Card & Agent ID - or ability to attain
• Firearm, Holster & Mag Pouch - Level 2 or above
• Prior experience in law enforcement, the military or security preferred
• Must be legally eligible to carry a firearm
• Completion of all state and/or municipal mandated firearms training
• Must pass a federal background check & a drug screen
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and composed in stressful or emergency situations

What We Offer

• Compensation: $19/hr
• Armed Licensing Sponsorship Program: Liberty Defense Group will cover the upfront cost of your required Armed Guard Card and Agent ID. You will not be required to repay these costs as long as you remain employed with LDG for at least 90 days after completing the licensing process.
