Qualifications

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Possess a New Jersey RPO Certificate.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Industry-specific security training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate hospital personnel and public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, emergency department access points, and surrounding property to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials where required, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate areas of the facility.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
