Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Armed in Chattanooga, TN. The role offers flexible, anchor shifts with opportunities to earn more by taking additional shifts across sites.

Responsibilities include patrolling, access control, and responding to incidents at a government utility location. Minimum requirements include 3+ years in security or a college degree, and a background check/drug screen will be conducted in compliance with laws.

Qualifications

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• A drug screen will be conducted as required by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a government utility location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, and access points.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry of employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and security-related observations accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
