Job summary
The University of Tennessee – Knoxville invites applications for part-time faculty to serve as Lecturer in the School of Architecture beginning August 2026. Part-time faculty teach one or two courses per academic year and are compensated on a per-course basis.
In-person positions are available, and work eligibility in the United States is required; no visa sponsorship is available. Successful candidates will teach in the Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Architecture curricula, with
Qualifications
- Candidates must hold at least one of: an undergraduate degree in architecture and a graduate degree in architecture or a related field; a NAAB‑accredited degree in architecture; or a doctoral degree in architecture or a related field.
- Work eligibility in the United States is required; no visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities
- Teach design studios and/or required lecture, seminar, or technology courses.
- Develop and deliver original assignments; establish studio culture and learning goals.
- Mentor students and contribute to building a teaching portfolio; participate in shared governance.
