Job summary

Round One Entertainment in Hayward, CA is seeking a part-time Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair arcade machines and bowling equipment within our arcade facility.

This non-exempt role offers 20–25 hours per week, with evening and weekend shifts from 5pm to 2am during peak hours; wage is $19–$20.75 per hour and benefits are provided.

You will assist the Facilities Manager, respond to malfunctions, follow OSHA safety practices, and participate in required maintenance trainings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Solid communication, critical and analytical thinking, and appreciation for diversity.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facilities Manager in servicing and maintaining the facility, bowling equipment, and amusement arcade games.
• Respond to customer complaints of machine malfunctions; analyze the mechanism to find the root of the problem.
• Respond to error calls for bowling and amusement arcade equipment issues.
• Follow equipment operational compliance with appropriate laws and policies including OSHA safety practices and procedures.
• Update preventative maintenance charts for bowling center equipment.
• Conduct maintenance and repairs on bowling lanes, pinsetters, oiling machines and related equipment.
• Complete mechanic training programs for the pinsetter type of the assigned center and other role-specific trainings.
• Identify and address common problems with controls and audio systems.

Education

Two-year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
