YMCA of Upper Palmetto in Fort Mill, SC is seeking a Part Time Lifeguard under supervision of the Aquatics Director. The lifeguard will supervise swimmers during recreational and fitness swims, administer First Aid, enforce rules, and maintain pool safety and sanitation according to department policies and state codes.

Responsibilities include constant pool surveillance, reporting unsafe conditions, keeping water chemistry records, assisting with events, and participating in trainings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old and hold current nationally recognized lifeguard certifications.
• CPR and First Aid are required; Oxygen (O2) certification preferred or obtained within 30 days.
• Professional appearance and excellent interpersonal communication are essential.
• Commitment to YMCA mission and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsabilités

• Ensure the safety of facility patrons and maintain constant pool surveillance.
• Enforce all facility policies, rules and regulations during swims.
• Respond to patron inquiries and provide branch information as needed.
• Inspect the aquatic facility daily and report unsafe conditions or equipment.
• Complete records on water chemistry and incidents/accidents.
• Participate in staff meetings and in-service trainings; assist with events.
