Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking an Aquatic Specialist (Lifeguard) to help ensure the safety of members at our Delaware clubs, including Seaford facilities. Under the Aquatics Director, you will monitor the pool, enforce rules, and respond to emergencies.

This part-time role requires lifeguard certification, CPR/First Aid, and a willingness to train. Benefits include PTO, vision & dental, and employee assistance programs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Emergency response knowledge and lifeguarding expertise.
• Ellis & Associates Lifeguard and Basic Leadership certifications or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid Rescue Breathing certification.

Responsibilities

• Cooperate with staff to implement aquatics programs and safety objectives.
• Monitor pool activities and enforce safety rules during shifts.
• Direct swimmers to exit the pool in hazardous conditions and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean, safe pool environment and assist in crises per policies.
• Complete and submit reports and perform admin tasks as needed.
